Containment barrier and dehumidifier set for structural drying after a water loss in a Northwest Arkansas home

Residential Restoration

Residential water damage restoration in Northwest Arkansas

A busted supply line, a failed water heater or a slow leak behind the fridge turns your home into a job site overnight. Surfco takes the whole thing, extraction, drying, flooring, drywall and paint: so you are dealing with one company instead of five.

Water moves through a house faster than most people expect. It wicks up drywall, travels under hardwood and soaks the pad beneath carpet long before the surface looks wet. The first 24 to 48 hours decide whether you are drying a room or rebuilding one, which is why our crews are on standby around the clock, including weekends and holidays.

We start with a free inspection. A Surfco inspector maps the affected area with moisture meters and thermal imaging, documents everything your insurance carrier will ask for, and gives you a written scope before anything is torn out. If there is no damage to find, you owe nothing and there is no service call fee.

What our water damage process looks like

  1. Emergency inspection

We evaluate the loss, pull moisture readings, photograph conditions and tell you honestly whether we expect your policy to cover it.

  2. Extraction and demolition

Standing water comes out first. Carpet, pad, flooring and saturated drywall are removed only where readings say they have to be.

  3. Structural drying

Air movers and dehumidifiers are set to a calculated load. We log moisture content and relative humidity daily until the structure hits dry standard.

  4. Repair and rebuild

Drywall, texture, paint, trim, flooring and carpet go back in by our own construction division, no handoff to an outside contractor.

Scope

What to expect during drying

  • Equipment runs continuously for three to five days on a typical loss.
  • The affected room will feel warm and loud: drying works by adding heat and airflow.
  • Expect a modest bump on your next electric bill while equipment is running.
  • Do not turn the equipment off or open windows; it slows the dry and invites mold.
  • We take daily readings so there is documented proof the structure actually dried.

What you get in writing

A line-item scope, photo documentation and a schedule before work starts.

Daily updates come from the project manager assigned to your job, not a call center.

Before we get there

  1. Shut off the water at the main if the leak is still running.
  2. Cut power to the affected rooms at the breaker if water is near outlets.
  3. Lift what you can off wet flooring. Books, boxes and furniture legs first.
  4. Do not use a household vacuum on standing water.
  5. Photograph everything before anything is moved or removed.

Common questions

Questions we get asked

Is water damage covered by homeowners insurance?

Sudden and accidental losses, a pipe that bursts, a supply line that fails, an appliance that lets go, are typically covered. Long-term seepage and anything with established mold growth usually is not, unless you carry added coverage. The practical takeaway: call the day you notice it. Delay is what turns a covered claim into a denied one.

How fast can you get to my house?

We dispatch 24 hours a day across Northwest Arkansas. For active leaks we move immediately; for non-emergencies you can schedule an inspection at a time that works for you.

Do you handle the insurance paperwork?

We document the loss to carrier standards: photos, moisture logs, scope and line-item estimate, and work directly with your adjuster so you are not stuck translating between us.
